Lisa Goodier is the owner, operator, and full-time musky fishing guide at Capital Musky, providing professional musky charters on the Ottawa River. Known for her expertise, coaching ability, and dedication to sustainable recreational fishing, Lisa delivers high-quality guided fishing experiences for both seasoned anglers and beginners.
Lisa is currently Canada’s only full-time female musky fishing guide, bringing a unique perspective and a welcoming approach to the sport.
Lisa began her professional guiding career at the Ottawa River Musky Factory, where her passion for musky fishing truly took hold. After a transformative guided trip more than 15 years ago, she made the leap from retail management to professional angling after being mentored by several top guides in Ontario.
Now in her eighth guiding season, Lisa has completed 750+ musky charters, consistently earning excellent reviews from anglers of all skill levels. Her ability to teach musky fishing fundamentals while adapting to each guest’s experience level sets her apart as one of Ontario’s most respected musky guides.
Lisa is a strong advocate for youth, women, and newcomers in fishing, encouraging involvement through fishing clubs, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities. Her mission is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to discover the benefits of spending time on the water and to find their place within the angling community.
Lisa is committed to the long-term sustainability of the sport through education and volunteer work. By equipping the next generation of anglers with a deep-rooted conservation mindset and teaching ethical catch-and-release techniques, she ensures that her students grow into responsible stewards who will protect our world-class fisheries for years to come.
Lisa has appeared on popular fishing television shows including Setting the Hook and Get Hooked, and has been featured in leading outdoor publications such as Outdoor Canada and Ontario Out of Doors. She is a frequent seminar speaker at major fishing events including Muskies Canada Odyssey, The Ottawa Boat Show, and the Suick and Musky Factory Seminar Series.
Lisa is a proud member of the Shimano Canada Field Staff and is supported by Suick Lure Company and SNR Marine.
Conservation is at the heart of Capital Musky. Lisa volunteers with Blue Fish Canada and is a Muskies Canada member – supporting research, education, and sustainable catch-and-release practices that help maintain healthy musky populations across Ontario.
